is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to assist in the continued growth of our company! We are an independently owned rental company with a proven record of success for 25 years.
American Scissor Lift Inc.
specializes in the rental and sale of Aerial Work Platforms such as Scissor Lifts and Boom Lifts, as well as Telescoping Reach Forklifts, and Warehouse Forklifts.
We have 5 locations across California to serve our customers, with additional new locations coming soon! We have an immediate opening for the right person in our El Cajon location! Our ideal candidate will have:
2
years in outside sales experience in the equipment rental industry, or in construction related sales.
or 3
years of inside sales or management experience in the construction equipment rental industry.
Be energetic, personable, outgoing, and have a motivation for success, and the desire to sell.
Able to develop honest, trusting relationships with your customers.
Professional conduct with employees, vendors and customers.
Self Starter with the ability to work independently in an efficient manner to manage the most productive use of time.
The ability to communicate clearly with co-workers and customers A valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
Organized individual with attention to detail, strong work ethic, follow through, and engagement.
As an Outside Sales Representative for American Scissor Lift Inc.
you will be working with a team that has the ultimate goal of providing the highest level of service, the safest equipment, and most productive equipment in the industry.
Your duty is to translate our company's vision to potential customers and partner with them in their success.
You will be the ultimate point of contact for your customers needs, and responsible to act as a liaison between them and our operations department.
Your day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Increase revenue by growing your book of business Adding new accounts, or reactivating old accounts Meeting with customers in an office, job site, or casual setting Prospecting leads from job sites, communicating with workers to find decision makers, following up with self generated leads.
Use online resources to find leads.
Cold Calling offices in person, and by phone Creating bids/pricing for potential customers Recommending proper equipment for customers Preform safety training classes for your customers Calling in orders/terminations to rental managers Maintain good record keeping and work habits.
Practice worksite safety with proper PPE The majority of your time will be spent in the field.
You will communicate daily with the regional manager, and rental managers.
Training will be provided for any portion of the job needed to insure you have the tools and knowledge to be successful.
You will be provided with a base salary guarantee, then transition to 100% commission after you continually exceed your guarantee.
Our commission is paid per dollar generated is considerably higher than our competitors.
This is a customer based position, you are not territory based.
You will have an area of responsibility in addition to your customer base.
We will provide you with a company vehicle, gas card, insurance, cell phone, laptop, and expense account.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
