The Opportunity:
The City is currently searching for a motivated individual to join its Public Works team in the Wastewater Division.
The ideal candidate is an optimistic and enthusiastic team player who demonstrates confidence and professionalism with the ability to undertake a full range of maintenance duties.
Although the immediate opening will be assigned to wastewater, employees may be rotated as needed.
Additionally, the eligibility list may be used to fill future vacancies throughout all divisions.

Article 6 - Health and Welfare The Recruitment Process:
The most highly qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the examination process, which includes a practical exam and Qualifications Appraisal Interview.
The practical exam and Qualifications Appraisal interview are tentatively scheduled for April 30, 2024.
Successful candidates will be placed on the eligible list for employment consideration for at least six months.

Public Works Maintenance Worker I Public Works Maintenance Worker II Qualification Guidelines Education:
Educational achievement equivalent to high school diploma or equivalency.
Experience:
Public Works Maintenance Worker I:
Experience in public works construction, maintenance, landscaping, and improvements preferred.
Public Works Maintenance Worker II:
At least one year of experience in public works construction, maintenance, landscaping, and improvements.
Special Requirements:
Public Works Maintenance Worker I:
Possession of a valid Class C California driver's license, with a safe driving record, at time of appointment.
Public Works Maintenance Worker II:
Possession of a valid Class B California driver's license, with a safe driving record, at time of appointment.
