Bradley Court, our beautiful facility in El Cajon, CA, operated by Generations Healthcare, is searching for a Behavioral Health Clinician (LMFT or LCSW or LPCC) to join our team. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide clinical care for adults with moderate to severe mental illness in an inpatient residential program to help them rehabilitate. Position Overview:

  • Oversee the daily treatment experience of each of his/her clients.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation as required.
  • Conduct assessments of clients at the time of admission and re-assessments as required.
  • Conduct mental status examinations.
  • Provide appropriate treatment recommendations based on a review of the clients history, signs, and symptoms.
  • Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed.
  • Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients and staff.
  • Crisis intervention services.
  • Treatment Planning.
  • Complete Additional Sessions Requests forms as required.
  • Participates in treatment planning meetings and communicate updates with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist with monthly written progress notes in the record written by members of the staff providing services, the notes shall be specific to the needs of each client and the program objectives and plans.
  • Assistance with reassessment and summary of the progress of the clients, the appropriateness of program objectives and the success of the plan.
  • Help with initial evaluation and assessment by facility staff of their medical, nursing, dietetic, social, and physical needs within 15 days of admission unless evaluation has been completed by referring agency within 30 days prior to admission.
  • Ensure individual clients admitted will had a psychological evaluation and assessment by appropriate discipline within 45 days of admission.
  • Ensure patients/clients rights, program requirements, treatment services and staff are maintained as required.

Requirements:

  • Licensed clinician (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC) REQUIRED
  • Two years' experience or training in a mental health setting, one year of which shall include experience or training with persons with severe and persistent mental disabilities. In-patient mental health setting experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DSM-5, psycho-social rehabilitation and recovery principles and best practices.
  • Familiar with DBT and WRAP.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
  • Possess knowledge of direct resident care services which ensures the safety, comfort, and protection of residents.
  • Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, professional boundaries, and related issues.
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
  • Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and/or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
