Key Account Manager, Commercial & Automotive Fleet Sales

The Key Account Manager (know internally as Strategic Commercial Fleet Sales) has direct responsibility for the profitable lubricant and environmental services revenue growth throughout the designated areas of coverage and responsibility for their respective line of business specialty. This includes private and for-hire over-the-road truck fleets; off-road construction, mining and quarry; federal, state and municipal government fleets; bus fleets; truck and passenger car rental fleets; railroad; truck OEM's; and the various channels that provide oil change services to the commercial and automotive fleet industry.
Responsibilities:
Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all time.
Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts and prospects.
Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer and industry needs on an ongoing basis.
Work with the Line of Business Management in formulating, developing and implementing market strategies, market penetration and business goals and objectives for their assigned lines of business.
Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers' expectations.
Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
Maintain company/contact information and document all sales calls, customer visits and business opportunities in Salesforce Customer Relationship Management system.
Conduct contractual and service delivery negotiations with perspective and established clients on a continual basis
Maintain client relationships, including follow up, support, problem solving, technical, and service recommendations.Accountabilities and Performance Measures
Achieves assigned sales volume and revenue quota in designated regional and national accounts.
Meets assigned expectations for profitability.
Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by company management.
Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned timeframe.
Organizational Alignment:
Reports to the VP Fleet Sales & National Accounts
Enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.
Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management.
Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
Requirements:
Four year college degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 10 years of strategic sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment. Success is selling Lubricants to commercial and automotive fleets is a plus.
Working knowledge of business development, revenue enhancement and market penetration.
Proposal, Contract, and document management experience
Effective territory and time management, and ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.

Physical Demands:
Typical 8 hour shift with constant computer usage. Employee must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, climb, crawl, kneel, reach, squat, stoop and twist. Must also have the ability to carry, lift, pull and push up to 100
lbs., with repetitive movement of both hands and feet. Must also have the ability to drive a vehicle and move heavy equipment.
